Meet Ms. Schmidt

Ms. Schmidt, a central Kansas native, has been in healthcare since 1996. After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology and chemistry, she attended Wichita State University’s Physician Assistant (PA) program.  She spent 10 years practicing as a PA in the fields of family medicine and allergy/asthma/immunology before deciding to focus the remainder of her career in dermatology, which she has done since 2006. She joined us at Dermatology Specialists of Kansas City in 2016.

Ms. Schmidt is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and the Greater Kansas City Dermatological Society. She has donated numerous hours to skin cancer screening clinics in the community, is a national speaker and participates as a thought leader for advisory boards. She also educates local medical students during their dermatology rotations. 

In her spare time Ms. Schmidt, her husband and their daughter love traveling, going for long walks and bicycling. Ms. Schmidt also enjoys spending time in her garden.
